Shipping and Handling

Nascent Naturals Inc. is committed to meeting Customer’s requirements for Product delivery. We currently ship orders primarily through Canada Post, FedEx, UPS and Purolator.

Changes to Shipping Fees

Online Store shipping and handling charges are calculated at time of ordering. Orders weighing under 5kg are a flat rate of $10 within Ontario and $15 Outside of Ontario. Orders over 5kg have additional shipping charges. We have set our shipping rates to be lower than our cost, as we aim to give you the best deal possible.

If a customer deems fees to be excessive, please contact us so we may conduct a manual calculation to verify chargeable amounts. Conversely, while we make every effort to honour the posted shipping charges at time of order, any order that is determined to have excessive shipping fees due to extra weight (usually over 12 kg) or remote location, Nascent Naturals reserves the right to recalculate extra shipping charges and notify the customer of any extra fees.  The customer then has the option to accept the charges or decline further processing of the order.

Free Shipping

Free shipping is currently available for eligible orders with a subtotal higher than $99CAD after any discounts and before taxes. Orders that weigh over 5kg are not eligible for free shipping. Wholesale customers are not eligible for free shipping. To receive free shipping, eligible customers are to select the free shipping option from the list of shipping options on the cart/checkout page. Free shipping will not be given after an order is paid for if free shipping was not selected at the time of purchase. If a customer feels that they should qualify for free shipping and the option is not available, it is advised to email [email protected] with the order information.

Nascent Naturals reserves the right to temporarily or permanently suspend their free shipping program at any point.

Shipping Information and Inspection

Shipping information supplied by customers through the online store will be deemed as correct and used for billing and shipping. Nascent Naturals Inc. assumes no financial burden as a result of customer errors.

The customer is responsible for inspecting and examining the shipments. If the shipment is damaged, immediately notify Nascent Naturals Inc. within 7 days of receipt so the situation can be remedied.

Insurance

Nascent Naturals Inc. places basic insurance of up to $100 on each shipment.  The customer is responsible for extra insurance, if requested. Extra fees will be applicable.

Shipping fees will be added to all orders where applicable. All orders within Canada are shipped by Canada Post (Expedited Service). Excessively large, heavy or fragile orders are shipped via commercial courier or customer choice of carrier.

Delays

Nascent Naturals Inc. retains the right to delay shipping based on extreme weather conditions (heat or cold) which may damage the product. If the customer would like the order shipped against our recommendation, it is at their own peril and permission must be given in writing via email. Customers will be notified of any delay or advised of any risk due to weather issues. Ambient service can be arranged for a nominal fee through our courier service.  If you require this service, please contact us about your order so we can estimate the extra charges. Rates are calculated on a per order basis.

Any shipping or delivery dates as indicated by Customer or Nascent Naturals Inc. are estimates only, and Nascent Naturals Inc. shall have no liability to Customer for failure to complete delivery of an order by the date indicated or for any of Customer’s incidental, indirect or consequential damages arising from a delay.

Providing Own Carrier

Customers may request and arrange their own carrier to pick up from Nascent Naturals Inc. premises. Nascent Naturals Inc. assumes no responsibility or financial obligation in making such arrangements and is not liable for shipment damage once it leaves our warehouse. When arranging your own carrier, please ensure proper lead time for order preparations.  Do not arrange for your pickup until we have notified you that the order is ready! We will also require the following information:

1. Your full shipping address including postal or zip code.
2. Your billing address (required for credit card processing).
3. A phone number where you can be reached during business hours.

Shipping Deadlines, Timelines and Other Tips for Fast Shipping

Our shipping turnaround times are amazingly fast most of the time compared to our competition.  However some things are out of our control such as holidays, weather, payment issues, incomplete orders, additions to orders and incorrect shipping information.

We also have to work with courier and Canada Post schedules.  For example, when using Canada Post, it has to be packed and ready by 12 pm for shipping that day.   This does not mean ordering by 12 pm.  We need time to get the order packed!  Sometimes we can do this depending on how busy we are but no guarantees.

US Shipping

Nascent Naturals does not currently ship outside of Canada. If a customer wishes to ship an order outside of Canada, they must arrange their own courier and Nascent Naturals will not be liable for any delays, damage to products during transit, lost or missing packages, or customs fees and duties.
