Colour: Light yellow

Aroma: Similar to aniseed or liquorice

Noted Constituents

Phenyl Methyl Ethers – trans-anethole (55-60%), methyl chavicol (2-6%), estragole (2-10%)

Monoterpenes (25-42%) – limonene (3-12%), a-pinene (2-10%), phelladrene (1-4%)

Ketones – fenchone (12-18%), camphone

Alcohols – linalol (8-10%), fenchol (3-4%)

Cautions / Safety Data

Do not use in cases of epilepsy or during pregnancy!  Overuse or use undiluted may cause toxicity or disturbance of nervous system.  Do not use on the skin full strength. Always dilute in appropriate carriers before use.  Not for internal use.  If pregnant or suffering from serious medical conditions, consult a qualified health professional, experienced in the use of essential oils.

Useful Information

Distinctive licoricey aroma which is difficult to mask.  Very potent oil so only a few drops required in single blend application.
