Make Your Own Cream and Lotion Course

Create and adapt base carriers such as lotions, creams, ointments and water soluble solutions for use with essential oil blends. Make your own products from scratch, giving you complete control over your formulas and the flexibility to adapt recipes for treatment of many conditions.

This workshop is not about quick demos and following recipes. Students will be taught and encouraged to think and use creativity to develop their own products. It is a practical, hands-on course so come prepared in casual, cool clothing. Even if you have been experimenting with making creams at home, there is a lot to learn about the chemistry of developing products. Students will make their first cream and lotion base at the workshop with enough left over to bring some home so bring some extra containers.

Learn from a pro who has successfully developed and marketed her own natural products as well as many other companies for over 20 years!  Class size is limited to 4, so you get expert instruction and attention.

Topics covered include:
Exploring the process of cream making  and the relation to cooking and chemistry

Mapping out which ingredients to use – oils, waters, emulsifiers, botanicals  and preservatives
